Using Dash

Dash is a movement game for outdoor walks and runs. You are responsible for the information you provide, keeping your account secure, and using the service in accordance with applicable laws.

• Use an account that belongs to you and keep your sign-in details private.
• Provide accurate information when you create or manage your account.
• Do not use Dash where using a phone or recording location would be unsafe or prohibited.
• Do not use Dash to harass, threaten, or infringe the rights of another person.

The Dash experience

Dash records activity and location data to measure an outdoor session, check an eligible loop, and produce a territory result. GPS signals can be inaccurate or unavailable, and a session may not capture territory even when you complete a route.

Features, maps, challenges, rewards, and device support may change as Dash develops. We may release updates that are needed for security, compatibility, or the continued operation of the service.

Fair play

Dash works when activity is genuine. Do not spoof or manipulate GPS, submit activity recorded by someone else, tamper with the app or its network traffic, use bots or automated access, or interfere with another player's experience.

We may review activity signals and take action when we reasonably believe the service is being abused or a result is invalid. That action can include removing a result, limiting features, or suspending or closing an account.

Content and territory

You keep the rights you have in content you provide to Dash. To operate the service, you give Dash permission to host, process, and display that content as needed for the features you use. This includes showing your profile information where you choose to make it visible and placing captured territory on the shared map.

Captured territory, badges, coins, and other in-app items are virtual game elements. They are not real property, do not represent a cash balance, and cannot be sold or transferred outside Dash unless we expressly say otherwise.

Dash's software, branding, design, and original content belong to Dash or its licensors. You may use the app for its intended personal purpose; do not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit it except where the law allows.

Safety and location

Choose routes and activity levels that are appropriate for you. Pay attention to traffic, weather, terrain, other people, and local rules. Do not look at your phone while crossing roads or in any situation where it could put you or someone else at risk.

Dash is not medical advice, a safety service, or a promise that a route is safe. Location features depend on your device, permissions, connectivity, and surroundings. You can change location access in Android settings, but turning it off may prevent recording or loop verification.

Changes and ending use

You can stop using Dash at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, use the Delete account page. Uninstalling the app does not by itself submit a deletion request.

We may suspend or end access when needed to protect the service, other players, or our legal rights. We may also retire or materially change parts of Dash. Where appropriate, we will communicate important changes through the app, website, or the contact details associated with your account.

These terms may be updated as Dash changes. The “Last updated” date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
